ABC/Randy HolmesChris Cornell‘s solo song “The Promise,” which was released two months before is death, was accompanied by a social media campaign called #KeepthePromise to raise awareness of and encourage people to help displaced refugees and children in need.

In a new video premiering on People.com, stars including Elton John, George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Hanks and System of a Down‘s Serj Tankian ask you to #KeepthePromise in the Soundgarden singer’s memory.

Cornell recorded “The Promise” for the film of the same name, which was set during the time of the Armenian genocide. Proceeds from the song were to be donated to the International Rescue Committee. The video for “The Promise” was released posthumously on Tuesday, World Refugee Day, which Cornell had requested.
