Gene Simmons is either tired of being laughed at or he’s been told that he doesn’t stand a chance in hell of trademarking the “devil horns” hand signal. Either way, he has withdrawn the application.
On the United States Patent and Trademark Office website it now says, “The owner of the trademark application withdrew (e.g. abandoned) the application and the application is no longer active.”
Simmons, who claims to have started using the gesture in 1974, has yet to comment on this about-face.
