Star-studded “Grammys Greatest Stories” special, featuring McCartney, Elton & more, airs Friday on CBS

Courtesy of CBSThe star-packed two-hour special celebrating next year’s 60th Annual Grammys ceremony airs this Friday, November 24, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Grammys Greatest Stories: A 60th Anniversary Special will feature archival footage, exclusive interviews and a behind-the-scenes look at some of the award show’s most memorable moments and performances.

Among the many famous musicians appearing on the program in archival performance segments are Paul McCartney, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Sting and Dave Grohl. A trailer for the special includes clips of performances by McCartney with Grohl; AC/DC; Mick Jagger; Bob Dylan; Elton with Ed Sheeran; Sting with Bruno Mars; Springsteen with Grohl and Elvis Costello; The Beach Boys with Adam Levine; and more.

The preview also features brief snippets of commentary by Elton and Sting.

Country star Carrie Underwood and acclaimed pop/R&B singer John Legend will host the special.

Other artists appearing on the show include Alicia Keys, Ricky Martin, Pink, Blake Shelton, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion and Coldplay‘s Chris Martin.

The 60th Annual Grammys will be held on January 28, 2018, and will air on CBS live from New York City.
