Credit: Herring & HerringBillboard‘s year-end chart for the Top Rock Artists of 2017 saw a number of veteran rock acts land in the top 10.
Metallica was #4, thanks mainly to the popularity of its 2016 studio album, Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, which was #1 on Billboard‘s Top Rock Albums of 2017 list.
The late Tom Petty and his band The Heartbreakers were #6 on this year’s Top Rock Artists tally, while their 1993 Greatest Hits compilation claimed the #10 spot on the Top Rock Albums list.
Closing out the top 10 of Billboard‘s Top Rock Artists of 2017 list were Guns N’ Roses, whose own 2004 Greatest Hits set was #21 on the Top Rock Albums tally.
The #1 act on Billboard‘s Top Rock Artists list is Imagine Dragons. Here are the magazine’s top 10 rock artists of 2017:
