Eagle Rock EntertainmentThe new home video featuring performances from an intimate show Van Morrison played in September 2016 — which originally aired as part of BBC Radio 2’s In Concert series — gets its release today on DVD and Blu-ray.
The concert took place at the BBC Theatre in London around the time of the release of Morrison’s Keep Me Singing album, and included renditions of six tunes from that collection, as well as performances of several Van classics.
Among the well-known Morrison songs featured on the In Concert video: “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Wild Night,” “Here Comes the Night” and “Jackie Wilson Said.”
The DVD and Blu-ray also feature a bonus show, the “Up on Cyprus Avenue” concert that Van played on his 70th birthday — August 31, 2015 — in his hometown of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Among the tunes Morrison sang at that event were his Astral Weeks gem “Cyprus Avenue,” as well as “Days Like This” and covers of the spiritual “Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child” and the pop standard “It’s All in the Game.”

Meanwhile, Morrison’s 2018 tour itinerary includes a couple of U.S. concerts scheduled for February 26 and 27 at the Wiltern theater in Los Angeles.
