More nights in Sin City: The Moody Blues announce new fall Las Vegas residency

Credit: Mark OwenThe Moody Blues wrapped up its latest U.S. tour leg in January with a four-show Las Vegas engagement at the Wynn resort’s Encore Theater.  Now, the veteran British rockers have announced plans to return to the venue for a new series of concerts in the fall.

The influential band has lined up a nine-date residency, running from September 19 through October 6. The shows will be extension of The Moody Blues’ Days of Future Passed 50th Anniversary Tour, during which the group will perform its classic 1967 concept album, Days of Future Passed, as well as a set of popular songs from throughout its long career.

As previously reported, The Moody Blues will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at a ceremony held April 14 in Cleveland. The band will be honored alongside Bon Jovi, The Cars, Dire Straits, Nina Simone and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

Two days before the gala event, Moodies members Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Graeme Edge will take part in an interview session at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The event, set for April 12 at 7 p.m. ET, also will be streamed live on the Rock Hall’s Facebook page.
