During the show, Dave Grohl invited the fan, who was wearing full Gene Simmons of KISS makeup and a Motorhead t-shirt, on stage to play the Foo classic “Monkeywrench.”

“What’s your name, KISS guy?” Grohl asked the fan, who was too amazed to answer. Grohl then continued, “F*** it, I don’t even wanna know. Your name is ‘KISS Guy’ right now.”

Grohl then handed KISS Guy his guitar and they launched into a seven-minute rendition of “Monkeywrench.” Recognizing his opportunity, the new Foo guitarist shredded a few impromptu solos, much to Grohl’s delight.

At the end of the song, Grohl gave KISS Guy the Wayne’s World “We’re not worthy” bow. You can watch fan-shot footage of the performance now on YouTube.

Foo Fighters are on tour in support of their new album, Concrete and Gold. The trek continues Thursday night in Houston.
