Billie Joe Armstrong's The Longshot announces North American tour

ABC/Heidi GutmanAfter dropping a surprise debut album Friday morning, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong‘s new project The Longshot has now announced a North American tour.

The trek begins May 3 in Tijuana, Mexico, and will make its way through the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up June 2 in Philadelphia. Tickets go on sale next Friday, April 27.

The Longshot’s debut album is titled Love Is for Losers. Along with Armstrong, the band includes Green Day touring member Jeff Matika, plus drummer David S. Fields and guitarist Kevin Preston.
