The album’s due out this November 16, while the tour, which will visit mainly cities in the Midwest and on the East Coast, will kick off February 7 in South Bend, Indiana, John’s home state.  It’ll wrap up with a March 29-30 stand in Clearwater, Florida.

Tickets for most of the concerts will go on sale to the general public this Friday, September 21, at 10 a.m. local time. Pre-sale and VIP tickets will be available starting Wednesday, September 19, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans purchasing tickets online will receive a free physical copy of Other People’s Stuff. For more information about the trek, visit Mellencamp.com.

The 2019 concerts will feature Mellencamp performing tunes from throughout his long career, including selections from his upcoming album. There will be no opening act.

Other People’s Stuff will be a follow-up to John’s 2017 album, Sad Clowns and Hillbillies, which featured major contributions from country singer/songwriter Carlene Carter — the daughter and stepdaughter of, respectively, the late June Carter and Johnny Cash.

First up for the 66-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is a performance at the 2018 Farm Aid benefit concert, scheduled for September 22 in Hartford, Connecticut.  He’ll then will launch a previously announced Canadian tour, kicking off September 26 show in Moncton, New Brunswick, and wrapping November 14 in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
