The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers were on hand to accept the Q Classic Album award for their acclaimed 1968 record, The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society. The album will be reissued as a deluxe box set on October 26 in celebration of its 50th anniversary.

U2‘s Bono and The Who‘s Roger Daltrey also took part in the event, serving as presenters. Other winners included Iggy Pop, Nile Rodgers, Echo and the Bunnymen‘s Ian McCulloch and ex-Jam frontman Paul Weller.

The Q Awards are organized by popular U.K. music magazine Q. Check out the full list of winners at BauerMedia.co.uk.

The last time the Davies brothers appeared together with Avory in public was at the 2005 U.K. Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Original Kinks bassist Pete Quaife also was on hand for that event. Sadly, Quaife died in 2010.

As previously reported, Ray and Dave Davies have both revealed in recent interviews that they’re planning to discuss a possible Kinks reunion project. The band broke up in 1996.
