Jackson Browne announces four-night stand at NYC's Beacon Theatre in June 2019

Credit: Brandise DaneswichJackson Browne has lined up four shows at New York City’s famous Beacon Theatre next year on June 23, 24, 26 and 28. Indie-pop act Lucius, whose co-lead singers Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe served as backing vocalists on Roger Waters‘ Us + Them tour, will open the concerts.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, December 14, at 11 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster locations and LiveNation.com. Visit JacksonBrowne.com/tour for information about advance tickets.

Browne first met Lucius in 2015 when he appeared on an episode of writer/director Cameron Crowe‘s HBO series, Roadies.

“I went to my first Lucius concert thinking I knew what they do,” Browne explains. “I had sung a little with Jess and Holly, and I was enchanted by them and by their unique singing. But I was amazed to discover the depth and the originality of this band. Their songs and their arrangements, their huge dynamics — they just blew me away.”

Browne adds, “I’m excited that I get to appear with Lucius this summer, and that my audience will have a chance to hear this great band. And of course, I’m really happy to have the chance to play for their audience too. My band and their band — these shows will be epic!”

Jackson will play with his full backing band at the concerts, including multi-instrumentalist Greg Leisz, bassist Bob Glaub, guitarist Val McCallum and backing singers Alethea Mills and Chavonne Stewart.

Browne currently has only one other event on his 2019 itinerary. He’ll perform at the Sing Out for Seva concert — celebrating the Seva Foundation’s 40th anniversary — on January 12 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California. The show also will feature Bonnie Raitt, Grateful Dead percussionist Mickey Hart and more.
