Motley Crue releases new song “The Dirt (Est. 1981)” featuring rapper Machine Gun Kelly

Credit: Paul BrownMotley Crue has dropped a new song called “The Dirt (Est. 1981),” which was recorded for the upcoming Netflix biopic The Dirt, about the band’s notorious exploits.

On the track, vocalist Vince Neil declares “They never found a way to break us down/that’s why we’re still around.” The song also boasts a verse from rapper Machine Gun Kelly, who plays Crue drummer Tommy Lee in the film.

“The Dirt” is one of four new tracks the ’80s metallers recorded for the movie: The others are two more originals titled “Ride with the Devil” and “Crash and Burn,” plus a cover of Madonna‘s “Like a Virgin.”

The soundtrack, which also includes Crue classics such as “Kickstart My Heart,” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Home Sweet Home,” arrives on March 22.

The film The Dirt, which is based the band’s 2001 autobiography of the same name, hits Netflix on March 22. The cast also includes The Punisher‘s Daniel Webber as Neil, Game of ThronesIwan Rheon as guitarist Mick Mars and Douglas Booth as bassist Nikki Sixx.
