Sting scheduled two-show stand at Chicago-area Ravinia Festival in August

ABC/Paul LoboSting has added an August 23-24 stand at the Ravinia Festival in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park, Illinois, to his late-summer U.S. tour itinerary.

Tickets for the two concerts won’t go on sale to the general public until May 8, but members of Sting’s fan club can purchase pre-sale tickets starting April 29 at 10 a.m. CT.

As previously reported, the founding Police frontman’s next show is a headlining set at the 23rd annual Dinner with the Stars, an event presented by Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis, taking place April 13 at the Stifel Theatre in St. Louis.

The 67-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer also will play a May 10 concert in Hidalgo, Texas, followed by a May 12 headlining appearance at the inaugural KAABOO Texas festival in Arlington, Texas.

As for Sting’s stateside summer plans, his schedule also features an August 26-28 stand at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia; an August 31 performance with The Utah Symphony in West Valley City, Utah, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Zion National Park; and a September 1 headlining set at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass fest in Aspen, Colorado.
