ABC/Randy HolmesWith Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan back together in Guns N’ Roses, many are hoping for new music from the reunited rock icons. Speaking to Consequence of Sound, Slash says Guns will be working on a new album after their fall tour.

“There’s a handful of gigs that are happening at the very end of September and through October,” the guitarist explains. “And then it’s really just focusing on getting a new record done.”

As for when we’ll get to hear that new material, that’s still unknown. However, Slash is hopeful that a new Guns record will arrive before his other band, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, releases their next album, the follow-up to 2018’s Living the Dream.

“I mean, that’s one of those things where it remains to be seen, but I would hope so,” Slash says. “But we’ll see what happens.”

GNR hasn’t released an album since 2008’s Chinese Democracy, which, of course, featured Axl as the lone member from the band’s original lineup. The last Guns record to feature Slash and Duff was the 1993 covers collection “The Spaghetti Incident?”
