HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF - PEOPLE STILL NEED OUR HELP THIS WINTER!

Posted By: Lobster · 1/3/2013 2:45:00 PM

Back during a Thanksgiving Weekend in L.A., and with the help
of some friends in the industry, Flow Communications has released a recording with North Bay
resident Pete Sears (Piano), who you've heard on keyboards and bass with Rod
Stewart, Jefferson Starship, Moon Alice, The Dave Nelson Band and many more.

Although the storm and media has moved on, there are families who have lost everything, or living in shelters, or on the second floors of their devastated homes with no heat or kitchen or even running water.  This is an easy way to help, for less than a dollar. AND, you get a copy of the first song I've ever recorded.

Pete and your Crustacean / DJ recorded a version of "River" by Joni
Mitchell.  It's been released as a fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy Relief,
and available for 99 cent downloads from iTunes and from Google Play.

CELEBRATING 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF FIRST SHOW IN SAN JOSE

The South Bay was the first place I could get a job after moving West from NYC.  There were 5 FM Rock Stations, 3 in SF, 2 in SJ.  After working full time as Music Director and 10p-2a DJ during the Summer of 1972 at Stanford's 90.1 FM, I got a job at KSJO.  It's now a foreign lanquage station,  but among the handfuls of original FM stations that started playing Rock ("IN STEREO"!!! ) in the late '60s.  During the Fall Music Festival at BR Cohn between 10a-3p This Sunday, we'll celebrate your Crustacean / DJs Four decades on the SF Music & Radio Scene.  I was excited to become part of it, and feel blessed to still be broadcasting.  97.7 THE RIVER IS BEST CLASSIC ROCK STATION for the North Bay, East Bay, San Francisco or San Jose...which doesn't really have it's own FM Rock radio station anymore.  ...
