While attending the City University Of New York (To become a Veterinarian!) for extra-curricular fun, Paul joined the campus radio station. He continued to pursue a path that lead him to the Bay Area and Stanford University, where he served as the Music Director of KZSU. He called his Stanford show "The Lobster Box." Paul then became "The Lobster," one of the West Coast's most popular and legendary radio personalities. He has performed at powerhouse stations such as LA's KMET and KNAC, as well as the Bay Area's KSAN, KQAK (The Quake), KQKE (The QuakeII) KLIV, KUFX (K-FOX), KOME and KSJO. From 1988 to 1992, his program on KRQR (The Rocker), "The Lobster Breakfast," was San Francisco's top-rated music morning show. Lobster's professional broadcasting experience included management positions in programming and music programming as well as "DJ" work. As Music Director and Asst. Program Director of KSJO in the late 70's, he was instrumental in "breaking" many new rock artists, including The Police, ACDC and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Paul founded Flow Communications (www.flowstream.com) at age 25. Flow Communications is a digital audio production company and advertising agency, creating radio programs and commercials, strategizing and placing ad buys, and produce radio station imaging IDs and on-air promotions. Flowstream is the Internet identity of the company, producing audio-driven rich media content for Web sites.
Having a morning show driven by produced comedy bits, Paul turned Flow towards syndicated radio production, selling his material to national comedy services. In 1994, he produced a short form radios series on the 25th Anniversary of Woodstock for CBS Radio Networks, and was introduced to the company that produced the networks' House Of Blues radio programs for CBS. Flow Communications then began to produce the HOB Breaks program for Ben Manilla Productions. After becoming their Director of Marketing & Production, he created and worked to produce and market radio shows and services including a series of Smooth Jazz radio specials, a production service for radio stations called "Audio Helper" and the Classic Rock formated "The Guitar Show with Kevin Bacon”, Disney specials and many more.

In 1998, he decided to concentrate his efforts towards Flow Communications, and opened a digital multi-track production studio and office in downtown San Francisco, sharing space and handling creative production for Business Radio 1220, KBZS. Paul and Flow Communications then spearheaded a project formulating and producing Talk programming for the launch of Sirius Satellite Radio. In 2002, Flow Communications moved to 69 Green Street, directly across the street from what was the location of first FM Rock station, KMPX. That inspired his inner Lobster to follow his passion for Rock and Radio, creating sfbayradio.com and launching "The SF Bay Radio Hour” on 98.5 K-FOX, San Jose - San Francisco. The program was syndicated nationwide and grew to having over 25 markets on the Lobster Box Network coast-to-coast. http://www.sfbayradio.com

In 2005, he teamed up with former SF Mayor Willie Brown and Political Comedian Will Durst, successfully signing the Progressive Talk Radio show to mornings at Clear Channel's KQKE, San Francisco and served as Executive Producer and on-the-air with Will & Willie throughout most of 2006. In July of 2007 Paul put his weekly rock show on hiatus, and in October 2007, returned to the studio with Will and Willie to create their inaugural podcasts at http://www.willandwillie.com
