It sounds like a scene from American Graffiti, but I really did stay up late at night in our house in Lafayette as a little kid listening to Wolf Man Jack boom across the airwaves on an old radio my grandfather, who had worked at the old KYA 1260 in San Francisco, gave me. Just me and that old radio That’s when my love affair with radio started!!!
Then we jump ahead to San Francisco State, I’m a Broadcasting Major and spinning records, yes, we used records then, at the campus station. I think we had about 10 watts, so the only people listening were in the dorms, but it was great.

Now, years later, the music we grew up with is called Classic Rock and I’m lucky enough to be playing that music here on The River for you and enjoying every minute of it!
