 The Drug Abuse Alternatives Center (DAAC) is one of the largest and oldest drug and alcohol abuse prevention and treatment organizations in Northern California. We are the most affordable and offer a comprehensive scope of services to youth and adults including outreach, assessment, intervention, education, treatment and follow-up.
DAAC has been serving Sonoma County since 1969 and now provides treatment programs and services at approximately 30 locations in Sonoma and Lake Counties. All of DAAC's treatment programs are licensed and/or certified by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug programs.
For Adults: DAAC offers both Outpatient and Residential treatment options for adults with alcohol and other drug problems. Services include outreach, education and prevention efforts, assessment, individual, family and group counseling, a Methadone Maintenance and Detoxification program, a weekly Needle Exchange service, a Drug Court program (for non-violent adults involved in the criminal justice system) and a supervised Sober Living House. Health Services, including HIV and Hepatitis C education, testing, and counseling.
For Teens and Parents: DAAC offers several Outpatient programs and services for adolescents with alcohol and other drug problems, including outreach, education and prevention efforts, assessment, individual, family and group counseling and School-Based Programs.
For Pregnant & Parenting Women: DAAC offers Perinatal Day Treatment programs in both Sonoma and Lake Counties for pregnant and/or parenting women with problems of chemical dependency. DAAC also operates a Transitional Living Center, which provides safe and drug-free housing for pregnant and/or parenting women and their children for up to nine months. Health Services, including HIV and Hepatitis C education, testing and counseling, are available to all clients.
