Goals For 2012

These are by no means "resolutions"...cuz I'm sure that I will break them. That's why they're goals. I will try everyday (or almost everyday) to reach them. And I'll only mildly beat myself up for not reaching them...daily.
1. blog more often
2. curb my SB chai habit to 5 a week.
3. Try not to say "excellent" after my interviewees (musicians or comedians) answers a question of mine. Believe me, I have to edit these out before you hear them!
4. Ask people to not smoke around me rather than smack them upside the head and stomp on their ciggarette....however I'm thinking of marketing this as a smoking cessation program.
5. When a sales person in a store asks me if they can help me, I can just say "no" instead of "Quit following me!". In fact, I think I will follow them when they leave, around town, in ...

Heavy Metal on American Idol

It's about flippin' time. How refreshing is it to see an artist REALLY push the envelope to wake up those boring old pop snobs. And James Durbin performed with Zakk Wykde! How the bloody hell did he convince him to show up on American Idol?? How much did they pay him?? If you missed it, here you go:

Today in New York, Eric Clapton will hold his third auction of some of his guitars to raise money for his Crossroads Center, the rehab facility he built on the Caribbean island of Antigua. More than 150 lots of guitars, amps and memorabilia will be put up for bids by Bonhams. At the last auction, in 2004, Clapton's black Fender, which he named Blackie, set a record when it sold for $959,000, and his Gibson ES 355 sold for $847,000. In 1999, at the first auction, more than 100 guitars were sold, raising more than $5 million for Crossroads. The 1956 Fender Stratocaster he nicknamed Brownie went for $450,000.
