Heavy Metal on American Idol

It's about flippin' time.  How refreshing is it to see an artist REALLY push the envelope to wake up those boring old pop snobs.  And James Durbin performed with Zakk Wykde!  How the bloody hell did he convince him to show up on American Idol??  How much did they pay him??  If you missed it, here you go:

    Hi, Lauren:
    You should check out James Durbin's new single "Stand UP." (James is the Idol who sang metal on Idol). His debue album comes out in November, but like Daughtry, looks as if Benson got him a spot on the fall NFL album. Song is getting good reviews from fans and even non Durbin fans. Would LOVE to hear it on the radio. Don't know how that works, but that would be my request.
