As the name suggests, Alive at 25 was filmed during a show on Jane’s Addiction’s Ritual De Lo Habitual‘s 25th anniversary tour. During the show, they performed the 1990 album — which includes the singles  “Been Caught Stealing” and “Stop!” — in its entirety.

“In preparing for the tour, I had to relearn quite a bit of the album,” guitarist Dave Navarro tells Billboard. “It was inspiring to undo some of the rules we have become used to in our later years and get back in touch with a more expansive and unorthodox approach.”

He adds, “Staying in this mindset made for an extra special celebration tour and we were oddly able to become our own inspiration. The students teaching the masters.”

Jane’s Addiction was nominated for this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class, but they were ultimately passed over for induction.
