Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie add L.A. and New York concerts to their duo tour

Credit: John RussoFleetwood Mac‘s Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie kicked off their first-ever tour as a duo last week in support of their recently released self-titled collaborative album. The North American trek is plotted out through an August 11 show in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and the two longtime band mates also have just added a pair of new concerts at famous venues on opposite sides of the U.S. — on August 2 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and August 10 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

Tickets for the newly added shows go on sale to the general public this Friday, June 30, at 10 a.m. local time, while American Express card members are able to purchase pre-sale tickets now.

The Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie album, which was released on June 9, features 10 original songs. Five of the tracks were written by Buckingham, two were penned by McVie and three were co-writes. Fleetwood Mac’s rhythm section, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie, also lent their talents to the record.

During Lindsey and Christine’s summer trek, the duo also will rejoin Fleetwood Mac to play the previously announced festival shows The Classic West and The Classic East, scheduled for July 16 and July 30, respectively, at Dodger Stadium in L.A. and Citi Field in New York City. Also on the bill for those concerts will be Journey and Earth, Wind & Fire.
