Billie Joe Armstrong shares emotional tribute after his dog passes away

ABC/Heidi GutmanA treasured member of the Green Day family was lost recently when Billie Joe Armstrong‘s dog, Rocky, died. In an Instagram posted Sunday, the musician shared an emotional tribute to his fallen furry friend.

“Dear Rocky, my singing partner and my midnight home boy. You were a blessing to our family,” Armstrong wrote. “Have fun in dog heaven writing your memoir ‘If These Walls Could Bark’…you will be missed.”

The post is accompanied by a photo of Armstrong and Rocky together on the beach.

Armstrong would occasionally post videos of him playing Green Day songs on the piano while Rocky would “sing” along. Feel free to watch those if you’re in need of a good cry.
