Those images now will be put on public display for the first time at an exhibit that opens next week at the ARCANE Space gallery at Los Angeles’ Venice Beach. A opening reception for The Joshua Tree: Photography by The Edge exhibit will take place November 22 at 6 p.m. PT, and the images will remain on display through December 17.
In addition, limited-edition prints of individual photos taken by The Edge will be sold at the gallery. All proceeds raised by the sales will be donated to the GO Campaign, a nonprofit organization based in Santa Monica, California, that aids orphans and vulnerable children around the world.
“I took these photographs without a clear sense of where they might end up,” says the Irish rocker. “I guess I took them because I felt that this experience and this landscape and this moment in time ought to be remembered and possibly at some point shared.”
Following the event, the photos will be on display at ARCANE Space during the venue’s regular hours — Tuesdays, and Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT. The gallery will be closed on Thanksgiving.
