Jason Powell; Randee St. NicholasStyx has announced plans to sail away on a 2018 U.S. tour with REO Speedwagon and ex-Eagles guitarist Don Felder, which will mark the third time in the last few years that the three acts will hit the road together.
The new outing, which will feature both Styx and REO headlining select dates, is plotted out from a March 13 concert in Duluth, Minnesota, through an April 15 show in Charleston, South Carolina.
Styx, REO and Felder also took part in The Soundtrack of Summer Tour in 2014 and the United We Stand Tour earlier this year. In addition, Styx and REO have hit the road together fairly regularly since 2000.
Leading up to the new trek, Styx has a variety of previously announced U.S. headlining dates running from a December 28 performance in Tulsa, Oklahoma, through a March 3 gig in New Buffalo, Michigan. Among the shows is a five-night engagement at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, featuring Felder as the opening act. That run is scheduled for January 26, 27 and 31 and February 2 and 3.
