An impressive collection of items belonging to Neil Young, including vintage cars, musical instruments and equipment, model trains, clothing and more, will be going on the block on Saturday, December 9, at a sale hosted by Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles.  Hundreds of collectibles will be available via the sale, with bidding taking place both online and at a live auction.

The highest-priced piece of Young’s property up for bid is a red 1953 Buick Roadmaster Skylark Convertible that’s expected to fetch between $250,000 and $300,000. Other collectibles being sold include a 1929 RCA Theremin valued at $30,000 to $50,000, a pair of Studer recording machines expected to bring in $10,000 to $12,000 and a 1957 Gretsch 6130 Roundup electric guitar estimated to sell for $8,000 to $10,000.

Young, who is part owner of the Lionel model-train company, also is selling more than 200 items from his vast train collection, many of which are valued in the thousands of dollars.

In addition, the sale includes several other classic cars and vintage guitars, as well as amplifiers, harmonicas, studio equipment, turntables, shirts, pants, jackets, hats, golf shoes and more.

Fans will be able to check out an exhibition of items Young is selling at the site of the auction — 805 North La Cienega Boulevard — daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT from today, December 4, through December 9.
