John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan take rekindled relationship to New York Knicks game

James Devaney/Getty ImagesA little ditty ’bout John and Meg: Veteran rocker John Mellencamp and actress Meg Ryan sat courtside as they caught the New York Knicks taking on the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden on Christmas Day.

The couple, who apparently rekindled their relationship earlier this year, brought Mellencamp’s 23-year-old son Hud (from his marriage to Elaine Irwin) and Ryan’s 25-year-old son Jack (from her marriage to Dennis Quaid) to the game with them.

The 66-year-old rocker and the 56-year-old actress had initially dated from 2011 through 2014. After their breakup, Mellencamp started dating fellow rocker Billy Joel‘s ex-wife Christie Brinkley, but earlier this year he was once again seen with Ryan. A source told People magazine in July that the two were back together, adding, “They have a bond.”

Meanwhile, in other Mellencamp family news, the rocker’s 36-year-old daughter Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave can be seen as a regular cast member on the latest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The show airs Tuesday nights on Bravo.
