In the black-and-white clip, we see Fogerty rehearsing with his solo band when Gibbons just happens to show up at their practice space. Billy puts his hand on John shoulder and says, “I heard the loud noise, I was just passing through, sounds pretty good…I couldn’t stand it, I had to come on in.”
Gibbons then tells Fogerty that he has his guitar out in his car and asks if he can go get it and plug in, to which John responds, “Sure, go get it!”
The two Rock & Roll Hall-of-Famers proceed to run through the riffs from a bunch of their respective classic tunes, including CCR’s “Fortunate Son,” “Green River,” “Bad Moon Rising” and “Up Around the Bend,” the Fogerty solo hits “Centerfield” and “The Old Man Down the Road,” and ZZ Top’s “La Grange,” “Sharp Dressed Man,” “Tush” and “Legs.”
