Courtesy of On the BlueJustin Hayward must really enjoy taking part in his band’s Moody Blues Cruise, because the singer/guitarist has signed on to host and perform on a star-studded new seagoing festival that will take place early next year.

The inaugural On the Blue Cruise will set sail from Miami on February 10 and will stop at Nassau in the Bahamas and Labadee in Haiti before returning to port on February 15.

In addition to Hayward, the cruise’s lineup features The Zombies, Dave Mason, Rick Derringer, Procol Harum, ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, Vanilla Fudge, Al Stewart, Poco, Wishbone Ash, founding Chicago drummer Danny Seraphine and Electric Light Orchestra spinoff group The Orchestra. Zombies singer Colin Blunstone also will be performing solo during the nautical extravaganza.

Hayward is putting together some special sets for the cruise that will mix a variety of Moody Blues songs with tunes from his solo catalog. He will be joined onstage by a number of guest musicians, including some Moodies alumni.

Other attractions, activities and events during the cruise include a bungee trampoline called Sky Pad, pools, a surf simulator, waterslides, jacuzzis, a casino, a fitness center, a night club and much more.

Fans can reserve cabins starting this Wednesday, March 14, at 1 p.m. ET. Prices begin at $1,099 per person for double occupancy lodging. Visit OntheBlueCruise.com for all the details.

As previously reported, Hayward will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Moody Blues at an April 14 ceremony in Cleveland. After the big event, Justin will launch a solo European tour on April 23 in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
