Esoteric RecordingsAn expansive Procol Harum box set titled Still There’ll Be More: An Anthology 1967-2017 celebrating the British band’s 50-year history will be released on March 23. The remastered collection includes five CDs featuring a wide variety of studio tracks and live recordings, plus three DVDs containing archival performances from a variety of U.K. and German TV shows.

The first three CDs featured in Still There’ll Be More boast select songs from all of Procol Harum’s official studio albums, spanning from the group’s self-titled 1967 debut through 2017’s Novum. They also include the group’s classic singles “Whiter Shade of Pale” and “Homburg,” the 1969 B-side “Long Gone Geek” and tunes from the band’s hit 1972 concert album Procol Harum Live: In Concert with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.

The other two CDs document a pair of complete concerts, a memorable September 1973 show at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the Roger Wagner Chorale, and a previously unreleased March 1976 performance at the Bournemouth Winter Gardens theater in Bournemouth, U.K.

The DVDs feature various 1960s and ’70s performances from such classic television shows as the BBC’s Top of the Pops and Germany’s Beat Club and Musikladen.

The box set comes packaged with a 68-page hardbound book featuring an essay by respected music writer Patrick Humphries and commentary from Procol Harum expert Roland Clare, as well as rare photos and memorabilia from frontman Gary Brooker‘s personal collection. A reproduction of a 1976 Procol Harum concert poster also is included.
