Paul Simon is “Homeward Bound” for New York

Paul Simon has announced dates for the final leg of his farewell Homeward Bound tour, which will wrap up with four shows in his hometown of New York City and the surrounding area.

The shows include a September 15 concert in Newark, New Jersey — where Simon was born — plus two performances  at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on September 20 and 21. The fourth show will take place on September 22 in New York City, with the venue to be announced soon.

The final leg starts September 5 in New Orleans.  Tickets for the most of the newly announced concerts go on sale to the general public this Friday, March 16, at either 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. local time.  Tickets for the New Orleans show and a September 14 gig in Washington, D.C., will be available to the public, respectively on Saturday, March 17, and Saturday, March 24, at 10 a.m. local time.  As previously announced, the tour itself will kick off May 16 in Vancouver, Canada.

9/17 — Pittsburgh, PPG Paints Arena
9/20 — New York, NY, Madison Square Garden
9/21 — New York, NY, Madison Square Garden
9/22 — New York, NY, TBA
