Van Morrison, Neil Young among artists taking part in second leg of Willie Nelson's Outlaw Music Festival Tour

Courtesy of Blackbird PresentsWillie Nelson has announced a second leg of his second annual Outlaw Music Festival Tour, which will stop at eight venues in the northeastern U.S. in September. Among the artists taking part in the trek will be the Belfast Cowboy himself, Van Morrison.

The new concert series kicks off September 7 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and runs through a September 23 event in Saratoga Springs, New York. Morrison will perform at the September 7 show and at three other dates — on September 8 in Hershey, Pennsylvania; September 14 in Scranton, Pennsylvania; and September 15 in Camden, New Jersey.

Nelson’s Farm Aid pal Neil Young and his current backing group, Promise of the Real, which features Willie’s sons Lukas and Micah, are part of the lineup of the tour’s September 23 finale. Other artists confirmed to play at various Outlaw Music Festival shows include Tedeschi Trucks Band, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile, and Margo Price.

In addition to the performances, the festival events showcase local cuisine and beer, as well as crafts from local artisans.

The previously announced first leg of the 2018 Outlaw Music Festival Tour runs from May 25 in Raleigh, North Carolina through a July 1 event in The Woodlands, Texas. Artists playing at the shows include Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, Alison Krauss, Simpson and Carlile.
