Courtesy of Live NationAfter a nearly three-year hiatus, Heart is reuniting for a lengthy North American summer trek. Called the Love Alive tour, it’ll feature various support acts, including Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Sheryl Crow, Elle King and Brandi Carlile.

The 39-date outing gets underway July 9 near St. Louis and runs through a September 9 concert in Los Angeles. Tickets for most of the shows go on sale to the general public this Friday, February 15, at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com.

Pre-sale tickets will be available to Citi card members beginning Wednesday, February 13, at 10 a.m. local time via the company’s Private Pass program.

Since late 2016, following a backstage altercation involving Ann and Nancy Wilson‘s family members, the sisters have focused on side projects. In a new Q&A regarding the upcoming tour, singer Ann Wilson says both she and her sister have benefited from their time off from Heart.

“Both Nancy and I have stretched our wings in life these last three years,” she maintains. “We’ve both lived and loved. We have breathed and traveled and experienced life. We come to this tour with fresh energy and oxygen.”

Nancy says of the hiatus, “I could see it was time for Heart to have a break. We’d been slogging through tour after tour fairly nonstop and were starting to burn out a little bit.”

Meanwhile, Ann says the Love Alive trek “will be unlike any other Heart tour that has been,” adding, “Some of the songs will be classic, of course, but this tour will be a new animal.”

Regarding the various female artists who are taking part in the trek, she said, “I think this year is a good year to show the collective impact of some powerful women in music.”
