Watch Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks and more in trailer for HBO's upcoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame special

Courtesy of HBOHBO has premiered a trailer for its upcoming 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony special, documenting the night last month when Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, The Zombies, The Cure, Roxy Music, Radiohead and Janet Jackson welcomed into the hallowed institution.

The show will debut on Saturday, April 27, at 8 p.m. ET. The preview offers brief glimpses of the honorees’ speeches, as well as of the celebrity presenters’ introductions and the evening’s various performances.

As previously reported, Def Leppard was inducted by Queen‘s Brian May, Nicks by One Direction‘s Harry Styles, The Zombies by The BanglesSusanna Hoffs, The Cure by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Roxy Music by Duran Duran‘s Simon Le Bon and John Taylor, Radiohead by ex-Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and Jackson by Janelle Monae.

The ceremony, which took place March 29 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, boasted performances by Def Leppard, Nicks, The Zombies, The Cure and several members of Roxy Music.

During her set, Stevie was joined by Styles and the EaglesDon Henley. The event’s finale featured surprise guest Ian Hunter leading an all-star rendition of his old band Mott the Hoople‘s classic David Bowie-penned hit “All the Young Dudes.”

During the trailer, we get to watch May quip, “What’s the secret of a successful rock group? You have to keep your hair.” The video also includes a snippet of Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott‘s emotional speech, in which he says of the group, “We’re not blood, but we’re the closest thing to brothers.”
