Big Beat RecordsA remix of Van Halen‘s classic 1983 hit “Jump” by popular Dutch DJ and producer Armin Van Buuren was released Friday, May 17.

The pounding electronic dance version of the chart-topping tune features Van Halen singer David Lee Roth‘s isolated vocal tracks from the original recording, with Van Buuren recreating Eddie Van Halen‘s keyboard lines and adding new synthesizers and beats.

The track is available now as a digital single and via streaming services, and you also can check it out at Bog Beat Records’ official YouTube channel.

Many music fans were introduced to the “Jump” remix in March at the 2019 Ultra Music Festival in Miami, when Van Buuren performed the track live with Roth, who joined him as a surprise guest.

“Jump” was originally released in December 1983, and spent five weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early ’84, becoming Van Halen’s one and only single to reach the top of that chart.
