In other Metallica happenings, the metal legends held their second annual Day of Service volunteering initiative on Wednesday in conjunction with their All Within My Hands charity foundation. According to the band, over 3,000 Metallica fans volunteered at their local food banks as part of the program.
“Thank you for making our second annual Day of Service a success!” the Metallica members write in a statement, adding that they’re “overwhelmed with gratitude.”
“We hope that [it] will serve as year round inspiration and we encourage you to get out and give back in any way that you can, any day of the year,” writes the band.
