The track is available as a digital download and via streaming services, and you also can check out the song on Frampton’s official YouTube channel.

Peter’s version of the oft-covered classic is highlighted by his tasteful, fat-toned soloing.

“It’s the standard,” Frampton says about the song. “I’ve heard Ray Charles kill it, I’ve heard Steve Winwood kill it and I would never attempt to sing this song. There’s just too many great versions by so many great singers. I decided we would do this song as an instrumental. It’s turned out to be a highlight on this record and just shows the versatility of the band.”

“Georgia on My Mind” is the third track that Peter Frampton Band has released from All Blues, after renditions of “I Just Want to Make Love to You” and “The Thrill Is Gone.” Fans who pre-order the album, which will be released on June 7, will receive instant free downloads of all three songs.

As previously reported, Peter recently revealed that he’s been diagnosed with inclusion body myositis, a degenerative muscular disease that will hamper his ability to play guitar, and he will launch a farewell tour on June 18 in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening will open most dates on the trek.
