This Sunday’s episode of AXS TV’s Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar features the Red Rocker traveling to Nashville for a star-studded benefit concert organized by James Burton, the lead guitarist of Elvis Presley‘s famed backing group The TCB Band.

In addition to participating in the event, which took place this past November, Sammy Hagar got to chat with some of the other performers — Queen‘s Brian May, The EaglesJoe Walsh and country great Tanya Tucker.

Sammy tells ABC Audio that while talking with May, “[H]e told me some really, really interesting things about Queen that I didn’t know. And, what a great guy.”

In a preview clip, which you can watch on the AXS TV YouTube channel, Hagar asks Walsh what the secret is to career longevity in the music business.

“If you can break through to a different generation than yours, Joe notes, adding, “Don’t get too famous. Just get famous a little bit, and stay that way.”

Hagar tells ABC Audio that perhaps the highlight of his Nashville visit was chatting with Tucker.

“I did the longest interview with her I’ve ever done for Rock & Roll Road Trip,” he revealed. “And I’m going, ‘I want her to do her own show,’ because, man, she was so interesting, [with her] stories about Merle Haggard and Glen Campbell and some of the other people that she’s hung out with.”

Hagar described the concert as “kind of as a crazy, unorganized deal.”

He recalls that during a performance of “Jailhouse Rock,” “there must have been 20 people on stage…And Joe and I split the vocals, and he took a little guitar solo. And there was six other guitar players trying to take solos.”

The episode premieres Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.
