Credit: Johnny PixelRevolution Saints, the hard-rock group featuring Night Ranger‘s Jack Blades, ex-Journey drummer Deeno Castronovo and former Whitesnake guitarist Doug Aldrich, are releasing a follow-up to their 2015 self-titled debut album.

The new record is called Light in the Dark and it’s due October 13. The band has now debuted a lyric video for one track from the upcoming album called “Freedom” and you can watch it now at Frontiers Music label’s YouTube channel.

The clip mixes live performance footage of the group with dynamic animated graphics that incorporate various photos of the band members, as well as a depiction of the album’s cover art on fire. The song is a soaring rock anthem highlighted by Castronovo’s powerful vocals and a blazing solo by Aldrich.

“The lyrics for ‘Freedom’ were taken from notes I had written while I was in recovery in June of 2015,” explains Castronovo, who parted ways with Journey in 2015 after being arrested on assault charges while struggling with drug issues.

“They’re just a powerful reminder of where my head and heart were at the time.”

Light in the Dark will be available as a standard CD and vinyl LP, a deluxe CD/DVD set and a limited-edition box set. The deluxe package includes live bonus tracks; footage of Revolution Saints’ first concert, which took place this past April in Milan, Italy; a making-of documentary featurette; and music videos for “Light in the Dark” and another tune, “I Wouldn’t Change a Thing.”
