Neal Schon MusicJourney guitarist Neal Schon is embracing the Christmas spirit with open arms by releasing a new instrumental holiday EP titled Ave Maria.
The four-track collection, Schon’s first-ever solo holiday release, includes soaring renditions of the popular Catholic hymn “Ave Maria,” Elvis Presley‘s classic ballad “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and two memorable Journey hits: “Open Arms” and “Faithfully.”
Ave Maria is available for purchase now at digital retailers and via streaming services. As a gift to fans, Schon also has made the title track available as a free download at his official website, NealSchonMusic.com.
In conjunction with the EP, Neal and his wife, Michaele, have posted a holiday message that reads, “We give the gift of music & peace this holiday season.”
In other Journey news, drummer Steve Smith will be playing concerts with three of his jazz projects in early 2018: Vital Information NYC Edition, Steps Ahead Meets Soulbop and Groove: Blue Organ Trio.
The Vital Information NYC Edition tour is in support of the group’s recently released album Heart of the City, which is available at iTunes and at VitalInformation.com.
