The premiere will take place during the 2018 South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, and will be screened on Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m. local time at the Paramount Theater.

As previously reported, the South by Southwest festival’s website describes Paradox as a “far-fetched, whimsical western tale of music and love.” The movie also features country legend Willie Nelson, as well as the members of Young’s current backing band, Promise of the Real, which includes Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah.

Neil has posted a message about the film’s premiere on the news page of the Neil Young Archives website that reads, “We will be there. Hope you will be there too! We are very happy with our little film and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do…We will have more news about the film, including more play dates very soon.”

In other news, Young reveals that a long-in-the-works documentary about LincVolt, the 1959 Lincoln Continental convertible he had transformed into a fuel-efficient hybrid car, now is slated to be shown as an episodic documentary series.

In a note on NeilYoungArchives.com, Neil explains, “We’ll let you know where you can watch as soon as we know. In the meantime, we’ll select some of our LincVolt Team out-takes and stream them.”
