Just ahead of the Rolling Stones’ string of European shows, Mick Jagger has revealed that he’s working on some new material.
The singer tells Independent.ie, “I am writing at the moment.” When further questioned about the eventual outlet for his creative efforts, Jagger said, “It’s mostly for the Stones.”
Unfortunately, the fact that Mick is working on new material isn’t necessarily a guarantee that fans will hear anything new anytime soon. “I don’t really think about what I’ve written, much,” he admits. “I just keep ploughing forward.”
The last time the Stones released an album of new original material was 13 years ago, with A Bigger Bang. They won a Grammy earlier this year for their album of blues covers, Blue & Lonesome.
