ABC/Randy HolmesMetallica drummer Lars Ulrich will participate in an upcoming talk with photography duo Herring & Herring on October 19 at The Cooper Union in New York City.

While you may not know Herring & Herring by name, if you know Metallica, you’ve probably seen their work. The duo, made up of photographers Dimitri Scheblanov and Jesper Carlsen, worked on the album artwork for Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, and directed the videos for “Halo on Fire,” “Am I Savage?” and “Now That We’re Dead.”

“The guys have shot us numerous other times, both in the studio and at live shows, and we’re always blown away by their creativity and distinctive style,” Metallica says.

Ulrich’s talk with Herring & Herring will be free and open to the public, and you can RSVP now. Visit Metallica.com for more info.

Metallica will kick off a U.S. tour in support of Hardwired…to Self-Destruct on September 2 in Madison, Wisconsin.
