Courtesy of Alice Cooper’s Solid RockAlice Cooper‘s 2018 Christmas Pudding charity concert this Saturday was supposed to feature a headlining performance by the Hollywood Vampires, the shock rocker’s supergroup with Aerosmith‘s Joe Perry and actor Johnny Depp, but unfortunately Perry won’t be performing at the show.

In a post on his Sold Rock Foundation’s official Facebook page, Cooper reports, “Joe Perry has been diagnosed with pulmonary issues and forbidden by his doctor to travel while he is recuperating. His doctor is treating him and expects Joe to make a full recovery. Joe expressed his disappointment in not being able to perform with the Hollywood Vampires at Christmas Pudding.”

The concert, which takes place at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, will still feature Cooper and Depp, as well as the other previously announced performers. The lineup also includes Blue Oyster Cult’s Eric Bloom and “Buck Dharma” Roeser, ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach, country star Gretchen Wilson, comic Larry the Cable Guy and Beasto Blanco, a band featuring Alice’s daughter Calico Copper and his longtime bass player Chuck Garric.

As previously reported, Perry was hospitalized for several days last month after he collapsed backstage following a guest appearance with Billy Joel at Joel’s November 10 concert at Madison Square Garden. Joe was forced to cancel a planned late-fall solo tour because of his health issues. His next scheduled performance is Aerosmith’s February 1 concert in Atlanta as part of the Super Bowl LIII Music Fest 2019.

Proceeds raised by Cooper’s Christmas Pudding benefits Alice’s Solid Rock Teen Center, which offers free music, dance, arts and vocational programs for young people in the Phoenix area.
