
Katarina Benzova; Danny ClinchForbes has unveiled the 2017 edition of its Celebrity 100 list, ranking the world’s top-earning celebrities, and Guns N’ Roses and Bruce Springsteen are among the veteran rock acts who appear on the tally.
Guns N’ Roses, which welcomed founding members Slash and Duff McKagan back into its lineup in 2016, landed at #11 after taking in $84 million from June 1, 2016 to June 1, 2017, the time period the list covers. GN’R raked in their dough thanks to their Not in This Lifetime reunion tour.
Springsteen was #17 on the tally after earning $75 million, mostly from his successful tour dates with The E Street Band, plus an added $10 million payday from an advance for his memoir, Born to Run.
Other classic rockers who made the cut this year include Metallica at #21 with $66.5 million, Elton John at #26 with $60 million, Paul McCartney and Red Hot Chili Peppers tied at #32 with $54 million each, Bon Jovi at #80 with $33.5 million and Billy Joel at #82 with $35 million.
As for the highest-paid celebrity on the list, that would by rap mogul Diddy, a.k.a. Sean Combs, who took in $130 million.
