Roswell Records/RCA RecordsAs predicted, the new Foo Fighters album, Concrete and Gold, has debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The latest effort from Dave Grohl and company grabs the top spot with a total of 127,000 equivalent album units, 120,000 of which were traditional album sales.
Concrete and Gold, which also debuted at number one in the U.K., gives the Foos their second Billboard 200 chart-topper, following 2011’s Wasting Light.
The new album includes the singles “Run” and “The Sky Is a Neighborhood,” and features guest appearances from Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, Alison Mosshart of The Kills, and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men.
Foo Fighters will launch a North American tour in support of Concrete and Gold with their own Cal Jam 17 festival, held on October 7 in San Bernardino, California.
