ParlophoneThe remastered versions of five David Bowie albums that were part of the 2017 box set A New Career in a New Town (1977–1982) will be issued as standalone releases on February 23.
The titles — 1977’s Low and Heroes, 1979’s Lodger, 1980’s Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) and the expanded 2017 addition of the 1978 live album Stage — will be available on CD, on 180-gram vinyl and digitally.
This marks the first time since 1991 that the five albums will be officially available separately on vinyl.
Low, Heroes and Lodger are known as Bowie’s “Berlin Trilogy,” since much of the material on the albums was written while David was living in the German city. The records were co-produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti and included major contributions from electronic music whiz Brian Eno.
Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) features such memorable tunes as “Fashion” and “Ashes to Ashes.” The latter song is a sequel of sorts to Bowie’s early hit “Space Oddity.”
Stage was recorded at several U.S. concerts during the spring of 1978, and features live versions of many well-known Bowie tunes. The 2017 mix includes two bonus tracks and a previously unreleased original mix.

A New Career in a New Town (1977–1982) was released in September 2017, and was the third in a series of expansive Bowie box sets, following 2015’s Five Years (1969-1973) and 2016’s Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976).
