The album, STP’s first with new lead singer Jeff Gutt, is self-titled, and will be released March 16. It’ll feature the previously released track “Meadow,” as well as the aforementioned new song, which is called “Roll Me Under.” Both tracks are now available for digital download.
As for the tour, the new dates begin May 1 in Atlanta and conclude June 1 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The trek follow a previously announced tour that kicks off March 2 in Santa Clarita, California. Visit StoneTemplePilots.com for all ticket info.
In addition to the headlining dates, STP will play a number of festivals this spring and summer, including Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Rock on the Range, Rocklahoma, and Rock USA.
The new album will be Stone Temple Pilots’ first full-length offering since their 2010 self-titled record, their last with original frontman Scott Weiland. STP released an EP called High Rise in 2013 with Chester Bennington on lead vocals.
Following Bennington’s departure from the band and Weiland’s death in late 2015, Stone Temple Pilots announced they’d be searching for a new lead singer. They introduced Gutt in November 2017.
