Grand Funk Railroad joins star-studded 2018 Flower Power Cruise bill; cruise's 2019 lineup announced

Courtesy of StarVista LIVEThe 2018 edition of the Flower Power Cruise will set sail this Saturday, February 24, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and the star-studded seagoing music fest will include a number of sets by a recently added headlining act — Grand Funk Railroad.

Among the many other artists who will be playing during the weeklong extravaganza are The MonkeesMicky Dolenz, The Guess Who, ex-Paul Revere and the Raiders frontman Mark Lindsay, The Hollies, Iron Butterfly, Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals, The Grass Roots, The Family Stone, Canned Heat, Herman’s Hermits singer Peter Noone and The Cowsills. Peter & Gordon‘s Peter Asher is hosting the cruise and also will be performing.

The Flower Power Cruise will be stopping in Aruba and Curacao before arriving back in port on Saturday, March 3.

Meanwhile, the lineup for the 2019 Flower Power Cruise already has been announced, and it features The Beach Boys, Jefferson Starship, The Yardbirds, Big Brother & The Holding Company, Tommy James & The Shondells, The Lovin’ Spoonful, ex-Three Dog Night singer Chuck Negron, The Ides of March, Melanie and The Box Tops. Next year’s cruise runs from March 30 to April 6, and will visit St. Maarten and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
