Credit: Amy GranthamAs Graham Nash winds down his latest U.S. solo tour this week, the folk-rock legend reports there’s still no thaw in his feud with his longtime collaborator David Crosby, and so no plans for a Crosby, Stills & Nash reunion.
“None of us are talking to Crosby and we don’t want to,” Nash tells Minnesota newspaper The Star Tribune. “That’s the way it is, I’m afraid.”
As for how long it’s been since he and Crosby spoke, Nash says, “Shockingly, over two years ago.” He adds, I was his best friend for so many years. I saved his ass on so many levels it’s insane. For him to treat one of his so-called best friends the way Crosby has treated me, I just won’t stand for it.”
Graham maintains that among the reasons for his rift with David was how his old friend reacted to what Nash wrote about him in his 2013 memoir, Wild Tales, claiming that much of it was B.S.
Nash notes that there’s also currently no chance for a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young reunion, “Because if I’m p***ed at Crosby, you can bet Neil [Young] is p***ed at Crosby.
As for how he’s getting along with Young these days, Graham says, “Pretty good,” while revealing that he recently met up with Neil and gave him back some of his handwritten lyrics sheets Nash had collected.
Nash points out that since he grew up as the only boy in his family, he would up considering David, Neil and Stephen Stills his brothers, but notes that “as usual with family, after 50 years, sometimes you don’t agree with your family.”
